Here at Buffelsdrift Game Lodge we’re thrilled to offer you some of the very best of authentic Karoo cuisine, headily paired with exquisite local wines that will tempt any palette.We do, after all, lie along Route 62, South Africa’s longest [and best known] wine route. The Karoo offers a vast diversity of wines, with the Klein Karoo making full use of the fertile soil along our riverbanks to grow quality wines from a variety of stains. Generally drier than the rest of the wine route, the diversity of wines from the Klein Karoo offers anything from potstill brandy to dry white wines and Muscadel. It’s a voyage of discovery every time a cork is popped, and you’re sure to find something you love.Perch on our glamorous wooden deck, with full sight of the main waterhole. Watch turtles and hippo at play, with the chance to spot local wildlife as they come to drink. Able to accommodate up to 120 people inside and 100 on our gorgeous deck, you can make it an intimate outing for two, or a full-blown celebration with friends and family. We even have a grand piano on sight, with occasional live performances to spice up the mood.Start the day with a delicious buffet breakfast [the perfect finish to your morning safari].
